You know what time it is? It's time to hit the beach, baby! Now, I don't know about you, but when the sun is shining and the waves are calling, I don't want to be stuck at home rummaging through drawers for my beach essentials. I want to just grab my bag and dash. That's why I've always got a beach-ready bag packed and pining for sand. Looking to simplify your beach trips? Join me on this sandy journey and let's pack that beach bag together!
First things first, a good quality bag is a must. I found this nifty little number on Amazon – easy-clean, well-woven, and perfectly color-coordinated with my kaleidoscope of swimsuits. Because let's face it, I'm a sucker for that good fit vibe.
Now, onto the real stuff. The essentials.
A plush, absorbent towel: I'm testing out a new one at the moment and it's holding up quite well. Here’s a link to my current favorite beach towel.
Sunscreen: Never, and I mean NEVER, leave home without it. I keep a full bottle handy, and when it hits halfway, I bring in reinforcements. There's no such thing as too much sun protection.
A hat or sun visor: This sun visor has a UV UPF factor of 50. It does a stellar job at shielding my face, shoulders, and chest. Bonus points for accommodating my big, luscious hair!
Scalp sunscreen: Because your scalp needs love too, especially if you're rocking braids or a part. Check out this Coola Organic Scalp & Hair Sunscreen to see if it meets your needs.Â
Battery charging pack: A lifesaver when you're out all day. I keep a portable charging bank one tucked away in this bag so I'm never without power. I just have to remember to charge it after my beach trip, and I’m good to go for the next.Â
And let's not forget the optional extras:
Sunglasses: personally, I prefer to keep my prescription glasses safe and sound at home, but feel free to toss yours in if it suits you!
A speaker: If you're a music lover like me, you might want to consider investing in a nifty Bluetooth speaker for those beach jams.
A mini cooler bag: Perfect for stashing a couple of beverages and snacks.
First aid items: Especially handy if you're traveling with kids or planning on being particularly active.
Beach shoes: If you want, you can keep your preferred beach footwear in a sealed bag so you can find those shoes in the right spot, every time! I personally have a spot of honor in my closet for them.Â
There you have it, my lovely travel mavens. A quick rundown of what to keep in your ever-ready beach bag. What do you keep in your beach bag? Let us know so we can up or beach-prep game!Â
May your next beach trip be a breeze, and remember to stay "beach-ready" all year round!
Until next time, Nico
